# Explee

Explee is a B2B outreach platform. It finds leads, emails them, and marks people who reply with real interest as **hot leads**.

When you connect Explee in Voicetta, those hot leads sync into your connected **GoHighLevel** account automatically — so your team can follow up with each new Guest without copy-paste.

## Why it matters for your business

- **Standardize service:** every hot lead lands with the same tags and source.
- **Delight every Guest:** the qualifying reply (`why_hot`) is stored as a contact note so follow-up has full context.

## Prerequisites

1. Connect [GoHighLevel](/docs/integration-go-high-level) on the same workspace first.
2. Have an Explee account with an API key from [Explee AutoGTM API keys](https://explee.com/app-auto-gtm/api-keys).

## Step-by-step in the app

1. Open **Agent → Connections**.
2. Find **Explee** under CRM.
3. Click **Connect**.
4. Paste your Explee API key (it starts with `sk_explee_`).
5. Optionally enter a project ID if you want Voicetta to validate a specific Explee project.
6. Click **Connect**.
7. Confirm GoHighLevel stays connected so sync can run.

## What syncs

About every **10 minutes**, Voicetta fetches new Explee hot leads and upserts them in GoHighLevel as contacts with:

- Name, email, phone, company, website (from company domain), country
- Source: `voicetta-explee`
- Tags: `voicetta-explee`, `explee-hot-lead`
- A contact note with the hot-lead reply (`why_hot`), plus Explee person/campaign IDs

Contacts are matched by email or phone (GoHighLevel upsert). Leads without email and phone are skipped.

## Best practices

- Keep GoHighLevel connected; sync skips Explee until GHL is available.
- Rotate API keys if a key is ever exposed.
- Expect updates (not duplicates) when the same email or phone appears again.
- Use GoHighLevel workflows on the `explee-hot-lead` tag for follow-up automation.
